Baycorp Advantage is a company which holds credit details on all of us. Baycorp Advantage have been previously known as Credit Reference Association of Australia (CRAA), and even Credit Advantage Australia (CAA). All loan applications require a Credit Reference Report, and that report will be obtained from Baycorp Advantage by the lending institution.

How to find out what is in Your File

There are three ways to obtain a copy of your personal file:

  • Request a FREE COPY of your personal credit file by mail or fax. Free copies are mailed to you within 10 working days of receipt of your request.
  • Choose a PREMIUM file request service for your personal, business or company credit file to be dispatched within one working day of receiving your request ($19.95 GST inclusive).
  • Choose a PREMIUM PACKAGE to receive your personal, company or business credit file (dispatched within one working day of receiving your request) AND monitor activity on the file for the next 12 months ($39.95 GST inclusive).

(NB: Baycorp Advantage provides free copies for individuals of their own personal credit files only. All company and business credit files attract a charge of $19.95.)

NB. You may only request a copy of your own personal file.

To obtain a copy of your personal file free of charge

Please mail your request to:

Alternatively, you can fax your request to Baycorp on:

Please provide Baycorp with the following information:

  • Your full name;
  • Your date of birth;
  • Your driver's licence number;
  • Your current residential address
  • Any previous residential addresses within the last five years;
  • A daytime telephone number and
  • Your signature.

NB: Baycorp advise they are unable to accept requests for their free service via email.

Baycorp should mail you a complete copy of your personal file, including any public record or commercial credit information within 10 working days of receiving your request.

NB. Baycorp do not offer a free service for company or business files. Requests for company or business files can only be accepted from the company director or secretary, or proprietor.

Premium File Request Service ($19.95 GST inclusive)

Use your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Bankcard, or Diners Club card to request your personal, company or business credit file.

Baycorp should fax or mail your file to you within one working day of receiving your request.

NB: You may only request a copy of your own personal credit file. Requests for company and business files can only be accepted from the company director or secretary, or proprietor.

Baycorp are also able to accept a bank cheque or money order through the mail. Please make cheques payable to Baycorp Advantage Business Information Services Ltd. Obtain and complete the request form from Baycorp, and mail to Baycorp with your bank cheque or money order at:

For security and privacy reasons, Baycorp are unable to provide direct access to their database via their website.

Premium Package ($39.95 GST inclusive)

Your personal, company or business credit file should be faxed or mailed to you within one working day of receiving your request. Baycorp should also:

  • Notify you via email (within one working day) of any changes to your credit file, for the next 12 months.
  • Send you an up to date copy of your file via email at the end of the 12 month monitoring period.
  • Notify you a month prior to the expiry of the monitoring service with an email renewal notice.

You can use your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Bankcard, or Diners Club card to make your request online.

NB: You may only request a copy and monitor your own personal credit file. Requests for company and business files can only be accepted from the company director or secretary, or proprietor.

Monitor your personal, company or business credit file

Your credit reputation is an important financial asset; one you can now monitor and protect if you want to.

Baycorp 's Premium Package and 'My Credit Alert' services should notify you of all new information including loan applications, overdue account listings and any other credit related activity added to your file. You should receive email notification (within one working day) of any change to your credit file. This means you can question any unfamiliar listings or information added to your file before they become a liability - giving you the ability to control and protect your credit history.

Premium Package ($39.95 GST inclusive)

By choosing Baycorp's Premium Package your personal, company or business credit file should be faxed or mailed to you within one working day AND Baycorp should notify you via email (within one working day) of any changes to your credit file, for the next 12 months.

'My Credit Alert' ($29.95 GST inclusive)

Choose 'My Credit Alert' to monitor activity on your personal, company or business file. Baycorp should notify you via email (within one working day) of any changes to your credit file, for the next 12 months.

'My Credit Alert' ($29.95 GST inclusive)

You should be notified via email (within one working day) of any changes to your credit file, for the next 12 months. Baycorp should also:

  • Send you an up to date copy of your file via email at the end of the 12 month monitoring period.

Renew My Credit Alert Registration

You are able to renew your My Credit Alert registration for another 12 months online.

The annual My Credit Alert subscription fee is $29.95 (including GST).
